At the start of this painting,I thought this was going to be one quick piece of work. But,can my prediction ever be right? No! It took me two long days to come up with a finished piece. It could be because I worked with very thin layers of paint this time. But I still feel,I need to improve on my timing.

Open Up
Worked with watercolors after a fairly long time and so thought of painting this small piece, but like always, I loved using them. After finishing this piece I realized that this new year I worked on three paintings and all three of them with different medium.Well,it wasn't intentional but I was happy to do so.Would like to continue that way, as working with a medium after a very long time makes me feel completely new to it.
For this painting I tried using minimum colors and thats three primary colors and a touch of burnt sienna .I am not very satisfied with the way the way I handled the bud.I tried keeping the blurred look but then overdid it.

One and a half
This work goes as a submission to PADT.Painting a rose again, was fun.The angular shape of the petals made it more interesting to work upon.I am extremely delighted that even though I was away from painting world for a while,it turned out be one among my quick works.
