This is the acrylic painting that I mentioned in my previous post that gave me some real tough time.I had to motivate myself enough to restart it.But then, all is well that ends well.I am satisfied with the way it turned out finally.
I also realized that I need to get some new brushes and the old ones need replacement.I have this really bad habit of leaving them in water for extremely long time and as a result I have a set of wonderfully ruined brushes. This is also one of the reason why I got frustrated while working on this painting.
Well, coming to the painting, the reference photo is from the Facebook album of one of my cousin, the one sitting with the back facing the camera and the two others are her friends.I absolutely loved the photo and had plans to paint it since long. Her friend sitting on the right hand side got married a few days back and my cousin seems to miss her a lot(her facebook status suggests so). So,I thought its right time to paint it.I hope she will be happy to see the moment recreated again.:)
Love it Yasha, it looks like a photo.

ReplyDeleteThe drawing reminds me of my two best friends and serious-happy talks that we have all the time. I could almost see ourselves in the painting. Nice Art! CHEERS! :D
You have achieved a wonderful body language in the three young women that speaks for them. I also love the mystery person whose shoes are in the bottom right hand corner. A really nice figurative painting.
