Oldies

This current work of my mine is a quickie using color pencils. Since I have not been able to paint frequently lately, the resolution I found  is using a medium that is quick and with equally satisfying results. This far have succeeded with this medium. :) A good thing to keep you inspired and motivated...:)

Started this as a black and white sketch and in the process never realized when I got carried away, and of course the final product is not Black and White..:) That is the thrill of the entire process.. You start with something in your mind and end up having something really different.

Back in Action!!

Hello everyone!!! I hope people remember me :(.. Not your fault if you don't, as I've been away for like ages it seems..Believe it or not, I was almost completely away from any form of art all this while.

Sometimes my work kept me away, at times there was a lack of inspiration and at times ahem ahem I acted lazy!! Anyway, I am happy to be back and posting here on my blog again..

A few months back I bought myself a set of pencil colors. Did a little experiments here and there. The first two are my random midnight experiments with the pencil colors a few days back, and the other one is a quick charcoal sketch.

Needless to say, I felt extremely rusty after a long break..I just hope I manage a little more of art for myself this year. Last year was an unproductive one as far as my artistic skills are concerned.. :)

Finally, I did what I had been planning for quite some time now,doing a portrait in color.I was more comfortable doing pencil portraits but thought I should take a step further and try something that was really challenging for me.After my few attempts with pastels,I felt like doing a portrait in this medium as I could use it more or less like a pencil.I am happy with how it turned out.Working on that beard was the most difficult part.
